Course DescriptionYou must be at least 18 years old at the time the course starts. The standardized child passenger safety technician (CPST) certification course is usually 3-4 days long and combines classroom instruction, hands-on work with car seats and vehicles, and a community safety seat checkup. Attendance is required for the entire course. This training will be conducted following COVID-19 Risk Reduction Protocol: COVID-19 Screening of all participants September 18th, 22, & 23rd. Everyone will agree to participate and adhere to CMH COVID-19 Exposure Risk Reduction Measures: proper mask at all times, social distancing, and proper hand hygiene. Those that cannot commit to this protocol will not be allowed to participate and will be rescheduled for a later STAC session. Phyllis Larimore will contact you on Friday before the session and daily to screen all participants to screen for signs/symptoms for COVID-19. In the last two weeks, did you care for or have close contact (within 6 feet of an infected person for at least 15 minutes) with someone with symptoms of COVID-19, tested for COVID-19, or diagnosed with COVID-19? • Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure to the virus. People with these symptoms may have COVID-19: • Fever or chills (temp check daily) • Cough • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing • Fatigue • Muscle or body aches • Headache • New loss of taste or smell • Sore throat • Congestion or runny nose • Nausea or vomiting • Diarrhea
